Out of three women of The Girls Next Door, only Wilkinson has previously appeared in a music video. Madison, Marquardt and Wilkinson appear in the video when lead singer, Chad Kroeger, mentions the Playboy bunnies. The video features the celebrities in their respective environments, lip-synching the lyrics to the song. In between each verse, Gibbons can be heard interjecting spoken-word vocals, assuming the persona of a rock star who has already made it big in the industry. The song details the stereotype that many people have about the life of a rock star, and thus features numerous clichés and popular beliefs about the consequences of fame. Other hits from the album include “Photograph,” “Savin’Me” and “If Everyone Cared.” The album won three Billboard Music Awards last year, one of which was for Rock Album of the Year. In October 2005, the album entered the Billboard Top 200 charts at #1. Nickelback’s “Rockstar” is part of the multi-platinum selling album, All The Right Reasons, released under Roadrunner records. Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, the stars of the E! reality series, The Girls Next Door, are among the numerous celebrities appearing in Nickelback’s latest music video, “Rockstar.”Īside from the three women, Nickelback’s new music video also features such celebrities as rapper/musician Kid Rock, hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, KISS vocalist Gene Simmons, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, UFC fighter Chuck Liddell, professional basketball player Grant Hill, musician Ted Nugent and NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., who appears four times in the video.
